The Anderson Lab is happy to announce that we have yet another addition to our lab! Please join us in welcoming Liza Loza. Liza earned her PhD in the lab of Tamar Doering at Washington University in St. Louis, where she studied novel pathways of cell wall synthesis in pathogenic yeast Cryptococcus neoformans. She is excited to explore new questions about strain-dependent molecular mechanisms of Candida interactions with host cell in her new position of Postdoctoral Researcher in the Anderson Laboratory. She will be working on a project identifying molecular determinants of pathogenicity versus commensalism in the context of host-Candida interactions, with a particular interest in how cell wall synthesis and remodeling affect these interactions. Welcome to the lab, Liza!
