This July our lab members Liza Loza and Shane Hendricks, presented a lightning talks at the Mycological Society of America. Liza’s talk, “Beyond the reference strain: A fresh look at Candida albicans adhesion”, took a deeper dive into molecular host interactions in the commensal pathogen Candida albicans and what makes it stick. Shane’s talk, “Determining the individual function and effect of structural variation among the TLO gene family members of Candida albicans“, focused on the special TLO gene family in Candida albicans and what potentially makes them tick. Thank you for representing the Anderson Lab at MSA, Shane and Liza!
