In August of this year, Liza Loza, a postdoctoral researcher in our lab, presented at the 2025 MidWest Neglected Infectious Diseases Meeting. Her talk titled “Beyond the reference strain: A fresh look at Candida albicans adhesion”, was once again a hit as she took the audience through her research on what potentially makes Candida albicans a sticky microbe.
